Before embarking on the long journey of learning a martial art, you should take the commitment seriously. Where you get depends on many decisions you make along the way. Without much prior thought, there can be much foolishness and many dangers which the corrupted spirit and the depleted heart. The worst state is blind acceptance of an unclear offering which pretends to be a martial art. Don't follow the 'herd' without assessing the product!

    Making any progress in martial arts without competent instruction would take three lifetimes. Following a fool, or a corrupted egotist would take you even longer, since you would be heading in the wrong direction.
