For an outstanding display of gems, crystals and minerals from all over the world, visit Gympie Golden Gem - home of the Gympie Gem Club.
It's a great place to come and browse!
The display was opened on August 31, 1974, and is renowned world-wide. It is the mecca for all travelling rockhounds.

The Gem Club was formed under the auspices of Adult Education on June 3, 1966. It has grown to be one of the most progressive clubs of its kind in Australia. Hardworking members created a sound finacial footing that enabled the building of these premises at the "Pineapple Site" on the Bruce Highway.
As the pressures of modern living increase, there is a growing number of persons who see lapidary activity as an antidote. It provides the excuse for being on a remote gem field or sieving a mountain stream. It is helping people return to the basics of living.
The Gem Club provides assistance to visitors through local information brochures, and the picnic area is there for everyone to enjoy!
Gympie Golden Gem is open seven days a week 9 am - 4.40 pm and is situated next to the Big Pineapple, Witham Way (Bruce Highway), Gympie, Queensland, Australia.
