This Caterpillar is long and thin. It makes a vertical tunnel in the ground where it hides by day. It emerges at night to feed. It is a pest on pastures because this is inclined to kill the plants there.
The adult moths are shiny white with a dark streak along each forewing costa. The moths have a wingspan of about 2.5 cms.
