These caterpillars have been found feeding on :

  • Mallotus ( EUPHORBIACEAE ) and
  • Clinostigma ( ARECACEAE ).

    The moths of this species are speckled orange, sometimes with a greenish or purplish tinge. They have two indistinct darker oblique bands across each wing. The moths have a wingspan of about 4 cms.

    The species occurs in the oriental tropics, including :

  • India,
  • Indonesia,
  • Malaysia,
  • New Guinea,
    as well as
  • Queensland, Australia.
