This caterpillar is yellow with brown lines. It is missing two pairs of prolegs, and so moves in a looper fashion. It feeds on various species of

  • Grass ( POACAE ).

    The adult moth of this species has brown wings, each with a scalloped dark brown submarginal band. The hindwings have a similar pattern to the forewings but are somewhat paler. The wingspan is about 2 cms.

    The species occurs in

  • India, and
  • Singapore,
    as well as
  • Queensland.
