The Caterpillar of this species is pale pink. It feeds on tussocks of the sedge :
The adult moth has mottled brown forewings, and hindwings that are dark brown with scarlet spots. The wingspan is about 4 cms.
The species occurs in Western Australia, South Australia and Victoria.
